I was very pleasantly surprised with my experience at Batteries + Bulbs on Saturday, September 16. Ordered a battery online with the intention of using the installation service that they offered. I went into the shop and was greeted and let them know who I was and what I wanted. I asked if my battery could be tested first before it was changed and that was no problem at all. When I ordered online I got a 10% discount and they let me know that the installation is not done with a discounted purchase. I had no problem with that. While I was inside taking care of the transaction, Rich was already outside taking care of my vehicle. Boy was I lucky! I have a 2012 GMC Acadia and the battery placement is tricky. It is in the back seat floor! What I thought was the battery under the hood was actually the fuse box. By the time I got back outside he already had the back floor apart and was removing the battery. The installation went perfectly and my vehicle was put back together as though it was never apart. Rich was knowledgeable and professional and I can't say enough good things about the service. Don't hesitate if they can help you they will!
We ordered on-line, getting the 10% discount. The battery was in stock (a Duracell true deep cycle battery made by East Penn Manufacturing, I believe) and was fairly fresh ("8/17" sticker and we purchased it in mid-10/17). The battery was clean and easy to locate in the store. The store itself was immaculate.The salesperson was fairly knowledgeable about batteries (reminding me that a trickle charger is not the same as an automatic battery maintainer). Returning home we found we had to add some distilled water to the battery and then charge it, but that was no big deal. It is now fully charged and on my battery maintainer, awaiting emergency sump pump usage, RV boondocking, or running the lights on the sailboat. Time will tell if we get the same life on this one as we did on our Die Hard Dual Purpose Deep Cycle (close to 15 years). Perhaps we will post the results in a year or two (or three, or five...)!

Awesome local spot for batteries. Even batteries for lawn mowers! The place is spotless and the customer service is superb.
Very expensive for phone screen repairs. When fixed by them the camera had a black line across the bottom. They vigorously refused to address it. In a day where most chains care about customer service, this company makes it an extremely low priority.
