As I have read with other reviews, you cannot believe the quoted costs.
When someone moves , it is a traumatic event.. The foreman walked in the door in a rotten mood. He said your lamps aren't packed , this isn't packed etc. I had a lot of glass and he said that will be an additional charge. It was on the contract and the foreman said- they don't always tell me what is needed. They had to go back to the office to get the right boxes for the glass pieces. I called the office and noted that it was included for glass but other things had to be wrapped by them. My lamps were wrapped. For $18 each, they took off the lampshade and lightbulb and wrapped it. When done with packing, he had to go to a weigh station that was 3 miles away. He said he would text me with the addition, when I did not hear from him, I proceeded to my new place. Over two hours later, they pulled up. There was a problem with the weigh machine I was told??? But when he came to my new place the foreman said everything was fine. I was thinking he meant cost. But I was a thousand pounds over what was quoted and owed an extra thousand dollars for packing.
Would recommend to Jensen to all.
The wrapping was professional and it may have felt better if I was not overcharged. If there was a problem with the weigh machine, why was I charged for an extra 1000 pounds?
Great job - picked up on time, delivered on time, no damage to anything. This was a 5-bedroom house full of furniture moving 150 miles with three weeks of storage in between. Excellent packing and shrinkwrap of all furniture, this was the best move in 40 years of military and civilian transfers!
All my interaction with Jensen has been very pleasant and the right people are very accessible. From the administrative to the movers and packers, everyone has been prompt, courteous and professional. I even took advantage of their service that allows you to have items picked up and Jensen will deliver to a donation center - in my case this was very convenient.
Our experience with Jensen's was great - I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of movers. They were very prompt with all communication and everyone we dealt with there was friendly and willing to answer questions. The moving crew was upbeat and respectful with our property, taking care not to damage furniture, floors, and walls. Best of all, their cost was very reasonable and the final bill came in under the estimate. An overall great experience, I have no complaints whatsoever and would definitely hire them again if I had the need. (Full disclosure, we hired Jensen's for a "furniture-only move", so I cannot speak to their other services like storage or packing.)
I wanted to report that I was very satisfied with Jensen Movers both with loading and delivery. Jensen manager Megan was very pleasant and helpful in organizing the service. Their foreman John and Team were on time, very professional and took care protecting my goods and the house during both processes. To my knowledge all goods were delivered without any loss or damage. The initial cost estimate including $/100# rate was competitive and met my request that the estimate not be an understatement. The final weight and bill came in happily below the estimate at 94%. I really am glad I used Jensen Movers and highly recommend Jensen Moving service to other veterans and all. Thank you. Ed P.
The workers were very nice but no one understood that if it says fragile on it, that means glass and to handle with care. They also do not put shelves back together.
